Castle Awards has a complete art department
proficient in designing, modifying, and reproducing artwork. Our artists are capable of taking a logo and making it suitable
for engraving, screen printing, or embroidery. We welcome our clients to supply their own artwork, please review the following
requirements.
Camera-Ready Artwork
Acceptable
- Black & white line art on flat photographic paper
- 600dpi (or higher) laser prints at 200% of final size
- Glossy, fine grain paper works better than matte copier paper
- Artwork for multicolor imprinting must be sent as black & white color separated art with registration marks for each color
- Always include a color composite with appropriate PMS colors.
Unacceptable
Business cards, faxes, halftone artwork requiring sizing, negative stats or films that need to be reversed to a positive,
low resolution laser printed artwork of less than 600dpi (we recommend 600dpi or higher black and white laser prints at 200%
of final size), photocopies, photographs, slides, transparencies, web images or any other art required to be touched-up, color
separated, or multi-color art to be made one color or otherwise improved.
Digital Artwork
Acceptable Files:
Vector artwork created in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw provides superior reproduction quality and allows
images to be resized without loss of sharpness or detail. Please convert all text to curves/outlines to avoid font issues. Photoshop
files are permitted for certain processes, please consult us before sending us this file type.
Unacceptable Files:
Raster files with low resolutions under 300dpi used for the World Wide Web. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher files are
not supported for graphics purposes.
Acceptable Media:
To expedite your order artwork may be sent on a PC formatted 3 1/2" disk, CD-ROM, or emailed.
Email Requirements:
A hardcopy of artwork must be received to ensure correct design and fonts were received. All artwork sent via email must
include organization name, contact, telephone number, fax number, and purchase order number.
Artwork Charges:
Artwork NOT meeting our requirements will incur art charges of $50.00 per hour with a half-hour minimum. Clients will be
notified if artwork charges are to exceed $25.00 prior to start of production.
Authorization & Indentification:
By placing an order with Castle Awards, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to order, purchase and/or
distribute merchandise containing the names, trademarks, logos, copyrights, etc., identified and/or submitted with your order.
You also agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Castle Awards, it's affiliates, and representatives, from and against all
claims, liabilities, and expenses, (including attorney's fees), arising out of or related to an actual or alleged infringement
or misappropriation of any trademark, copyright, or any proprietary right of such merchandise. This provision will remain in
effect after delivery of your order.
